MINUTES
Representative Hackbarth, Chair of the Mining and Outdoor Recreation Policy Committee, called the twenty-seventh meeting to order at 2:57 P.M. on April 5, 2016, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Hackbarth began the meeting at 2:49 P.M. A quorum was NOT present.
Representative Hoppe presented an overview of H.F.3757.
Brian Sanders, Friends of American Ski-Jumping in Red Wing, Minnesota, testified on H.F.3757.
A quorum was present at 2:53 P.M. The meeting was called to order at 2:57 P.M.
Representative Anzelc moved to approve the minutes of March 30, 2016. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
H.F.3757 Hoppe, Amateur Sports Commission snow angel fund established, and money appropriated.
Representative Hackbarth moved that bill H.F.3757 be re-referred to the Committee on State Government Finance.

Representative Hackbarth renewed the motion to re-refer H.F.3757 to the Committee on State Government Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
H.F.3339 Ecklund, Lifetime game and fish license information placement on a driver's license or Minnesota identification card authorized.
Representative Ecklund moved that bill H.F.3339 be re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Policy & Finance.
Representative Ecklund presented an overview of H.F.3339.
Bob Meier, Assistant Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, testified on H.F.3339.
Representative Ecklund moved the following oral amendment: After P.2, L.2.18 insert “Effective January 1, 2018, or when the MNLARS system is ready.” and the same after P.3, L.3.7. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Ecklund renewed the motion that H.F.3339, as amended, be re-referred to the Committee on Transportation Policy & Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
H.F.3303 Metsa, Abandoned mine safety measures modified.
Representative Metsa moved that bill H.F.3303 be laid over for possible consideration at a later date.
Representative Metsa presented an overview of H.F.3303.
Representative Metsa moved the H3303DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Joe Austin, Director of Safety and Risk Management of St. Louis County, testified on H.F.3303, as amended.
Representative Metsa withdrew his motion to have H.F.3303 be laid over for possible consideration at a later date and moved that bill H.F.3303, as amended, be sent to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
The meeting was adjourned at 3:29 P.M.
