MINUTES

Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:19 A.M. on March 18, 2015 in Hearing Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Cornish called the meeting to order at 10:19 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Hertaus moved the minutes from the March 17, 2015 meeting.

THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1376 (Barrett): Controlled substance schedules modified.

Representative Newberger moved to pass HF 1376 and move to general register.

Testimony on HF 1376 presented by:
Dr. Cody Wiberg, Executive Director of Minnesota Board of Pharmacy

Representative Newberger renewed his motion to pass HF 1376 and move to general register.

HF 0446 (Mahoney): Income tax dependency exemption allocation allowed in child support matters.

Representative Cornish moved to pass HF 0446 and move to the general register.

Representative Cornish moved the A1 Amendment.

Representative Cornish renewed his motion to pass HF 0446, as amended, and move to the general register.

HF 1463 (Newberger): First responders allowed meal expense subtraction.

Representative Newberger moved to pass HF 1463 to be referred to Taxes Committee.

HF 0322 (Winkler): Legislator’s privilege from arrest clarified, driving while impaired specified to constitute a breach of peace for purposes of the Constitution.

Representative Winkler moved HF 0322 to pass and move to the general register.
