MINUTES

Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:17 A.M. on April 8, 2015 in Hearing Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Cornish began the meeting at 10:15 A.M. A quorum was NOT present.

A quorum was present at 10:17 A.M. and the meeting was called to order.

Representative Newberger moved that the minutes from the April 7, 2015 meeting be approved.

THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 1126 (Simonson): Duluth; community offender reentry program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Cornish moved that HF 1126 be laid over for possible inclusion in omnibus bill.

Representative Cornish moved the A15-0063 Amendment.

Representative Cornish renewed his motion that HF 1126 be laid over, as amended, for possible inclusion in omnibus bill.

HF 1215 (Melin): Domestic violence victim services funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Cornish moved that HF 1215 be laid over for possible inclusion in omnibus bill.

Representative Cornish renewed his motion that HF 1215 be held over for possible inclusion in omnibus bill.

HF 1500 (Schoen): Crime victim support grant funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Schoen moved that HF 1500 be held over for possible inclusion in omnibus bill.

Representative Schoen renewed his motion that HF 1500 be laid over for possible inclusion in omnibus bill.

HF 1088 (O’Neill): Crimes committed in a patient care zone penalties increased, and assaults by inmates in public institutions sentencing provisions amended.

Representative O’Neill moved that HF 1088 be laid over for possible inclusion in omnibus bill.

Representative O’Neill moved the A1 Amendment.
