MINUTES

Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 11:02 A.M. on April 14, 2015 in Hearing Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Cornish called the meeting to order at 11:02 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Considine moved that the minutes from the April 9, 2015 meeting be approved.

THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 0849 (Cornish): Disaster assistance modified; and funding provided for courts, Guardian Ad Litem Board, Uniform Laws Commission, Board on Judicial Standards, Board of Public Defense, sentencing guidelines, public safety, Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Board, Private Detective Board, human rights, and corrections, and money appropriated.

Representative Cornish moved that HF 0849 be passed and referred to the Ways and Means Committee.

Representative Cornish moved the DE2 Amendment.

THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Cornish moved to orally amend the DE2 Amendment as follows:
Page 10, Line 10.6 strike “22,261,000” and insert “$23,261,000”

Representative Cornish moved to orally amend the A5 Amendment as follows:
Line 1.5, strike “$1,000,000” and insert “$50,000”
Line 1.14 strike “amend” and insert “increase”
Line 1.14 after “transfer” insert “$50,000 each year”

Representative Dehn renewed his motion to move the A5 Amendment, as amended.
