MINUTES

Representative Cornish, Chair of the Public Safety and Crime Prevention Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:15 A.M. on February 3, 2015 in Hearing Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Cornish called the meeting to order at 10:15 A.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Lohmer moved that the minutes of the January 28, 2015 meeting be approved.

THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Vice Chair Johnson assumed the gavel at 10:17 A.M.

HF 0012 (Cornish): Blue Alert system created to aid in the apprehension of those who kill or injure law enforcement officers.

Representative Cornish moved to refer the bill to the Transportation Policy and Finance Committee.

Janell Rasmussen, Amber Alert Coordinator at Bureau of Criminal Apprehension

Representative Cornish renewed motion to pass and refer to Transportation Policy and Finance Committee.

Chair Cornish assumed the gavel at 10:43 A.M.

John Walz, House Fiscal Analyst, presented an overview of the Governor’s budget.

Vice Chair Johnson assumed the gavel at 10:49 A.M.
