MINUTES
Representative Anderson, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:20 A.M. on March 29, 2016, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Anderson called the meeting to order at 8:20 A.M. A quorum was present.
Representative Petersburg moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 24, 2016 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Chair Anderson moved that HF2971 come before the committee and be laid over for possible inclusion.
HF2971 (Gruenhagen) – Fiscal note requirements added.
Representative Gruenhagen presented HF2971.
Chair Anderson moved the H2971A3 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
The following testified on HF2971:
Paul Cumings, Tax Policy Manager, Minnesota Department of Revenue
Dr. Paul Wilson, Tax Research Director, Minnesota Department of Revenue
Eric Willette, Property Tax Research Director, Minnesota Department of Revenue
Chair Anderson renewed the motion that HF2971 be laid over, as amended, for possible inclusion. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Chair Anderson moved that HF3001 come before the committee and be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
HF3001 (Loonan) – Federal penalty disclosure relating to purchase or sale of state bonds required.
Representative Loonan presented HF3001.
John Pollard, Legislative Director for Minnesota Management and Budget, testified on HF3001.
Chair Anderson renewed the motion that HF3001 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
