MINUTES

Representative Tim Kelly, Chair of the Transportation Policy and Finance Committee, called the thirty-fifth meeting to order at 12:52 PM on April 4, 2016 in Room 5 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF1182 (ANDERSON, S): Hunting and fishing license online application required to provide for organ donation, and report required.

Representative Kelly moved that HF1182 be re-referred on Ways and Means.

Representative Sarah Anderson testified on HF1182.

Representative Kelly renewed his motion to re-refer HF1182 to the committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1422 (SWEDZINSKI): Bus drivers exempted from seat belt fines arising out of violations by passengers.

Representative Kelly moved that HF1422 be placed on the General Register.

Representative Swedzinski testified on HF1422.

Lt. Brian Reu, Minnesota State Patrol, testified on HF1422.

Representative Runbeck moved the following oral amendment:

Page 1, line 19, delete “2015” and insert “2016” THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3723 (DRAZKOWSKI) Temporary use of rights-of-way permit requirements

Representative Drazkowski moved that HF3723 be placed on the General Register.

Representative Drazkowski moved the following oral amendment:

Page 1, after line 23, insert: “Effective date. This section is effective the day following enactment.” THE MOTION PREVAILED
