Representative Peggy Scott, Chair of the Civil Law and Data Practices Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:17 AM, on February 22nd, 2018 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

Representative Smith moved to approve the minutes of May 3rd, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF1243 (Petersburg) Authorizing security freezes for protected persons;
providing exceptions; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter
13C.
Representative Scott moved that HF1243 be re-referred to the General Register.
Representative Scott offered an oral amendment to HF 1243, changing the effective date from January 1st, 2018 to January 1st, 2019. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Scott renewed her motion that HF 1243, as amended, be referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
