MINUTES

Representative Peggy Scott, Chair of the Civil Law and Data Practices Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:01 AM, on May 3rd, 2017 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Pugh moved to approve the minutes of April 6th, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2621 (Franson) Female genital mutilation crime expanded, requirements for education and outreach updated, and definition of egregious harm expanded.

Representative Scott moved that HF2621 be referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Security Policy and Finance.

Representative Scott moved the HF2621A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Scott moved the HF2621A2 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Testifying on HF2621:

Representative Scott renewed her motion that HF2621 as amended be referred to the Committee on Public Safety and Security Policy and Finance.

Representative Pugh requested a roll call, the votes were as follows:

There being 15 AYES and 0 NAYS. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 9:52 AM.
