MINUTES

Representative Joe Hoppe, Chair of the Commerce and Regulatory Reform Committee began the meeting at 3:00 PM on February 15th, 2017, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF826 be laid over for possible inclusion into an omnibus bill.

Super Bowl extended alcohol service hours established.

Representative Hilstrom moved that HF283 be laid over for possible inclusion into an omnibus bill.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF1008 be laid over for possible inclusion into an omnibus bill.

Chair Hoppe renewed the motion that HF1008 be laid over for possible inclusion into an omnibus bill.

Chair Hoppe officially called the meeting to order at 3:45 PM. A quorum was present.

Representative Swedzinski moved to approve the minutes of February 14, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF368 (Bliss)
Assignment of military pay or benefits prohibited, and penalties and remedies provided.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF368 be re-referred to the Civil Law Committee.

Chair Hoppe moved the H0368A2 amendment (Bliss). THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED

Chair Hoppe moved an oral amendment to the bill, as amended, as follows: line 1.5, insert “a” between “with” and “military. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Brew pubs allowed to sell to a retail licensee at the airport.

Chair Hoppe moved that HF1050 be laid over for possible inclusion into an omnibus bill.

Malt liquor shipments into Minnesota authorized.

Representative Anderson moved that HF318 be laid over for possible inclusion into an omnibus bill.
