MINUTES



Representative Tim O’Driscoll, Chair of the Government Operation and Election Policy Committee called the meeting to order at 10:17AM on March 28, 2018, in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

HF3536 (McDonald) Physician Assistant Advisory Council member term limits eliminated.

Representative O’Driscoll moved HF3536 before the committee to be referred to the General Register.

Representative McDonald presented HF3536.

Representative O’Driscoll renewed the motion to move HF3536 to be referred to the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3171 (Kiel) Health commissioner required to convene the older adult social isolation working group, report required, and money appropriated.

Representative O’Driscoll moved HF3171 before the committee to be rereferred to the Health and Human Services Finance committee.

Representative Kiel presented HF3171.

Representative O’Driscoll renewed his motion to move HF3137 to Health and Human Services Finance committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3674 (O’Neill) Collective bargaining agreement and compensation plan information required to be submitted to the Legislative Coordinating Commission.

Representative O’Driscoll moved HF3674 in front of the committee to be rereferred to the State Government Finance committee.

Representative O’Neill presented HF3674.

Edwin Hudson, MMD testified on HF3674.

Representative O’Driscoll renewed his motion to move HF3674 to be rereferred to the State Government Finance committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF3873 (Albright) Workers' Compensation Advisory Council recommendations adopted, and Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals quorum requirements modified.

Representative O’Driscoll moved HF3837 before the committee to be rereferred to the Jobs and Energy committee.

Representative O’Driscoll moved the A18-0704 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative O’Driscoll renewed his motion to move HF3837 as amended to the Jobs and Energy committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2926 (Garofalo) Legislative Ratification of proposed collective bargaining agreements conditions specified.

Representative O’Driscoll moved HF2926 before the committee to be rereferred to the State Government Finance committee.

Representative Garofalo presented HF2926.

Devin Bruce, MAPE testified against HF2926.

Representative O’Driscoll renewed his motion to move HF2926 to be rereferred to the State Government Finance committee. Representative Nelson requested a roll – call. The results were as follows:
