MINUTES
Representative Schomacker, Chair of the Health and Human Services Reform Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:17 a.m. on Tuesday, January 31, 2017, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 8:19 a.m.
HF501 (Fenton) Voice response suicide prevention and mental health crisis response program funding provided to expand statewide text message response program, and money appropriated.
Representative Schomacker moved HF501 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.
Testimony was heard regarding HF501.

Representative Schomacker renewed his motion that HF501 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative McDonald moved to approve the minutes from January 26, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF237 (Dean) Health care delivery pilot program created by or including North Memorial Health Care established.
Representative Dean moved HF237 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.
Representative Dean moved the DE1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Jason Rusinak, Director, north Memorial Health Care, testified on the bill, as amended.
Representative Dean renewed his motion that HF237, as amended, be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF474 (Albright) Medical Practice Board criminal background checks authorized, and physicians exempted from criminal background checks under the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact.
Representative Albright moved HF474 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law.
Representative Albright moved the A1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Ruth Martinez, Executive Director, Minnesota Board of Medical Practice, testified on the bill, as amended.
Representative Albright renewed his motion that HF474, as amended, be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Civil Law. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
