MINUTES


Representative Schomacker, Chair of the Health and Human Services Reform Committee, called the meeting to order at 8:18 a.m. on Tuesday, February 14, 2017, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Kresha moved to approve the minutes from February 9, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF696 (Baker) Individualized home supports added to home and community-based services, planning and case management requirements modified, and child foster care background studies modified.

Representative Baker moved HF696 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Baker moved the A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Testimony was heard regarding HF696, as amended.

Representative Baker renewed his motion that HF696, as amended, be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF851 (McDonald) Advocating Change Together grant funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative McDonald moved HF851 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative McDonald moved the A1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Testimony was heard regarding HF851, as amended.

Representative McDonald renewed his motion that HF851, as amended, be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF921 (Kiel) Vacant bed treatment modified for purpose of payments to intermediate care facilities for therapeutic leave days, reports required, and money appropriated.

Representative Kiel moved HF921 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

HF873 (Hamilton) Intermediate care facility reimbursement rates modified for persons with developmental disabilities and for home and community-based providers.

Representative Baker moved HF873 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Schomacker moved HF814 be recommended to be re-referred to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.

Representative Schomacker moved the A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
