MINUTES
Representative Nornes, Chair of the Higher Education and Career Readiness Policy and Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 5:44 PM on March 23, 2017, in Hearing Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Albright moved that the minutes of March 22, 2017, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF2477 (Nornes) Higher Education Office, Minnesota State Colleges and Universities, and University of Minnesota funding and policy changes provided; state grant program calculation parameters modified, reports required, and money appropriated.
Chair Nornes moved that HF2477 be re-referred to the committee on Ways and Means.
Chair Nornes moved to adopt the NH-A15 (Nornes) amendment.
Chair Nornes incorporated a modification to the NH-A15 amendment as follows: delete “2,654,000” on line 1.15 and insert “2,564,000”.
Chair Nornes renewed the motion on the NH-A15 amendment as modified and instructed non-partisan staff to make any appropriate technical corrections as necessary. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Chair Nornes moved to adopt the NH-A08 (Nornes) amendment.
Chair Nornes renewed the motion to adopt the NH-A08 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Chair Nornes moved to adopt the NH-A12 (Nornes) amendment.
Chair Nornes renewed the motion to adopt the NH-A12 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Schultz moved to adopt the NH-A13 (Schultz) amendment.

Representative Schultz moved to adopt the NH-A06 (Omar) amendment.
