Representative Pat Garofalo, Chair of the Job Growth & Energy Affordability Policy & Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 3:00 PM on Tuesday, February 21, 2017, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

Representative Mahoney moved the minutes of February 15, 2017 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF587 (Barr) Unclaimed property requirements modified, reports required, and money appropriated. The bill, as amended, was laid over for possible inclusion in a later bill.
Representative Garofalo moved HF587 be laid over for possible inclusion in a later bill.
Representative Garofalo moved the H0587A2 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Garofalo moved the H0587A4 amendment.
Representative Garofalo moved an oral amendment to Page 1, line 7 of the H0587A4 amendment: delete “circulation”. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Peter Brickwedde, Assistant Commissioner of Government and External Affairs, Department of Commerce; Marianne Conboy, Executive Budget Officer of Economic Development, Minnesota Management and Budget; testified on HF587.
HF1038 (Mahoney) Legislative Renewable Energy Council established to make funding recommendations to the legislature. The bill, as amended, was laid over for possible inclusion in a later bill.
