MINUTES

Representative Torkelson, Chair of the Transportation Finance Committee, called the fifth meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 in the Basement Hearing Room of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Torkelson called the meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. A quorum was present.

Representative Johnson moved to approve the minutes of January 12, 2017, and January 17, 2017. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 3 (Smith) REAL ID Act implementation authorized, driver's license and Minnesota identification card requirements amended, imposition of fees amended, legislative reporting required and money appropriated.

Representative Howe moved HF 3 be referred to the committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Smith introduced his bill.

Representative Torkelson moved the H0003A9 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hornstein moved to incorporate the following oral amendment to the H003A7 amendment: On P. 2 , L. 32, after the semicolon insert “and”. On P. 3, delete “line 1”. On P. 3, L. 3, delete “(3)” and insert “(2)”. THE AMENDMENT WAS INCORPORATED.

Representative Hornstein renewed his motion to adopt the H003A7A amendment, as incorporated and requested a roll call. The results as follows:

Representative Howe renewed his motion for HF 3 to be referred to the committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
