Representative Lyndon Carlson, Sr., Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 9:48 A.M. on, Monday, January 14, 2019, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

Representative Carlson made remarks from the chair, introductions were made.
Commissioner Myron Frans, Minnesota Management and Budget, and Assistant Commissioner Nikki Farago, Children and Family Services of the Department of Human Services, testified regarding the effects of the partial government shutdown on the state of Minnesota and answered questions from members.
Representative Carlson discussed committee rules.
Representative Carlson referred members to the attached memo regarding bill referrals.
