MINUTES
Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of the Education Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 9:45 am on March 5, 2019 in Room 5 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Huot moved that the minutes from February 28, 2019 be approved. Motion prevailed.
Presentation provided by House Research on fund transfers.
HF 1687 (Pryor) Authorizes the Hopkins school district to transfer up to $500,000 from its community education reserve account to the reserved for operating capital account for construction of an early childhood classroom addition.
Rep. Pryor moved that HF 1687 be presented before the committee; be laid over for possible inclusion in a future K12 omnibus bill.
Rep. Pryor presented HF 1687. The bill was laid over.
HF 920 (Morrison) Authorizes the Minnetonka school district to transfer up to $2,400,000 from its community education reserve account to the reserved for operating capital account for construction of an early childhood classroom addition.
Rep. Pryor moved that HF 920 be presented before the committee; be laid over for possible inclusion in a future K12 omnibus bill.
Chair Davnie moved that an Author’s Oral Amendment to HF 920 be adopted; on page 1, line 8, delete “$2,400,000” and insert “$3,300,000”. Motion prevailed.
Rep Morrison presented HF 920, as amended.
Rep. Pryor renewed the motion that HF 920, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in a future K12 omnibus bill. The bill was laid over.
HF 784 (Gunther) Authorizes the Truman school district to transfer up to $45,000 from its school readiness reserve account in the community service fund to the undesignated balance in its general fund.
Rep. Jurgens moved that HF 784 be presented before the committee; be laid over for possible inclusion in a future K12 omnibus bill.
Rep. Gunther presented HF 784.
