MINUTES

Representative Liebling, Chair of the Division, called the meeting to order at 12:46 P.M. on February 19, 2019 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Cantrell moved that the minutes of February 14, 2019 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Matt Burdick, Legislative Director for Health Care, Behavioral Health and Housing, Minnesota Department of Human Services gave a brief overview of federal funding of children’s residential treatment programs

HF 679 (Morrison) Children's residential treatment payment provisions effective date amended.

Chair Liebling moved that HF 679 be heard and referred to Ways and Means.

Representative Morrison gave a brief explanation on HF 679.

Testifying in support: Jamie Halpern, Human Services Area Manager, Hennepin County

Chair Liebling renewed her motion that HF 679 be referred to Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Will Wilson, Supervisor, Minnesota Department of Health, Office of Rural Health and Primary Care gave an overview on federally qualified health centers.



HF 876 (Cantrell) Federally qualified health centers subsidies funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Cantrell gave a brief explanation of HF 876.

Chair Liebling laid the bill over for possible inclusion in the Division Bill.
