MINUTES

Representative Liebling, Chair of the Division, called the meeting to order at 12:48 P.M. on February 27, 2019 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Cantrell moved that the minutes of February 26, 2019 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1058 (Halverson) Litigation proceeds required to be appropriated to commissioner of health and used for tobacco use prevention activities, and money appropriated.

Representative Halverson presented an overview of her bill and requested that it be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Finance Division Bill.

Testifying in support: Molly Moilanen, Vice President, ClearWay Minnesota

Representative Halverson moved the H1058A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Liebling laid over HF 1058, as amended, for possible inclusion in the Division bill.

HF350 (Mann) Statewide cessation services to help Minnesotans quit using tobacco products authorized.

Vice Chair Mann presented an overview of her bill and requested that it be laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Finance Division bill.

HF940 (Cantrell) Palliative Care Advisory Council funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Cantrell presented an overview of his bill and requested that it by laid over for possible inclusion in the Health and Human Services Finance Division bill.

1. Emily Myatt, Minnesota Government Relations Director for American Cancer Society, Cancer Action Network

2. Jessica Hausauer, Chair, Minnesota Palliative Care Advisory Council

Chair Liebling laid over HF940 for possible inclusion in the Division bill.
