MINUTES

Representative Tina Liebling, Chair of the Division, called the virtual Health and Human Services Finance Division meeting to order at 4:30 P.M. on April 30, 2020 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Noor moved that the minutes of April 27, 2020 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Commissioner Malcolm, Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), gave an overview of MDH’s response to COVID-19 cases in long term care facilities.

Marie Dotseth, Assistant Commissioner, MDH, responded to member questions.

HF4582 (Halverson) Minnesota Family Investment Program (MFIP) onetime supplemental payment funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Halverson moved that HF4582 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Halverson moved the H4582A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Halverson presented her bill.

Representative Halverson renewed her motion that HF4582 be recommended to pass, as amended, and be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Baker moved that HF4601 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Representative Koegel presented her bill.

Representative Baker renewed his motion that HF4601 be recommended to pass and be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
