MINUTES

Representative Bernardy, Chair of the Higher Education Finance & Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 2:33 P.M. on March 3, 2020, in Room 10 of the State Office Building. A quorum was present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Wolgamott moved the minutes from February 19, 2020 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

H.F. 3086 (Bernardy) University of Minnesota and Minnesota State Colleges and Universities capital improvement spending authorized to acquire and better public land and buildings and other improvements of a capital nature, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Chair Bernardy presents H.F. 3086 for an informational hearing.

-Mike Berthelsen, VP for University Serviced, University of Minnesota

H.F. 3663 (Wolgamott) University of Minnesota, general fund appropriation use authorized for biomedical research facilities to also be used to pay for debt service on bonds issued for the clinical research facility, and money appropriated.

Representative Wolgamott moved that H.F. 3663 be referred to the Capital Investment Committee.

Representative Wolgamott renewed his motion that H.F. 3663 be referred to the Capital Investment Committee. The MOTION PREVAILED.
