HOUSING FINANCE AND POLICY DIVISION

MINUTES

Representative Alice Hausman, Chair of the Housing Finance and Policy Division, called the first meeting to order at 8:05 A.M. on Wednesday, January 16th, in room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 8:05 A.M.

Jennifer Ho, Minnesota Commissioner of Housing, introduced herself to the committee and members and briefly described her role as Commissioner.

Dan Kitzberger, Legislative Director for Minnesota Housing, presented the background on and driving forces for Minnesota Housing.

Ryan Baumtrog, Assistant Commissioner for Policy and Community Development for Minnesota Housing, presented the issues Minnesota housing faces and what they have done to combat those problems.

Acooa Ellis and Jeanne Crain, two Co-Chairs of the Governor’s Housing Task Force, presented the Task Force report and recommendations outlined within.
Ellen Sahli and Warren Hanson, Prosperity’s Front Door, Presented on how their organization deals with the issue of housing and the solutions they propose.

The meeting adjourned at 9:34 A.M.
