MINUTES

Representative Tim Mahoney, Chair of the Jobs and Economic Development Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 8:02 AM on February 28, 2019, in Room 200 of the State Office Building. A quorum was not present.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present at 8:24 AM.

Representative Davnie moved the minutes of February 26, 2019 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE MINUTES WERE APPROVED.

HF 955 (Koegel) SciTechsperience program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Koegel moved that HF 955 be laid over for possible inclusion in an Omnibus Bill.

The following individuals testified on HF 955:

Becky Siekmeier, SciTechsperience Program Director, Minnesota High Tech Association
Casey Helbing, Founder/CEO, Software for Good
Annie Tran, Junior Web Developer, Software for Good

Representative Koegel renewed her motion that HF 955 be laid over for possible inclusion in an Omnibus Bill.

HF 141 (Poppe) Port authorities; majority vote of commissioners required to approve real property sales and transfers.

Rep. Mahoney moved that HF 141 be re-referred to the Ways & Means Committee.

Representative Koegel assumed the gavel at 8:30 AM.

HF 678 (Davnie) Job skills training for recently released inmates funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Davnie moved that HF 678 be laid over for possible inclusion in an Omnibus Bill.

Representative Davnie renewed his motion that HF 678 be laid over for possible inclusion in an Omnibus Bill.

HF 1088 (Xiong, J.) Youth job skills and career development funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Xiong, J. moved that HF 1088 be laid over for possible inclusion in an Omnibus Bill.

Representative Xiong, J. renewed his motion that HF 1088 be laid over for possible inclusion in an Omnibus Bill.

Representative Koegel adjourned the meeting at 9:16 AM
