MINUTES
Representative Mahoney, Chair of Jobs and Economic Development Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 8:01 A.M. on April 2, 2019, in Room 200 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Davnie moved to approve the minutes from March 28, 2019. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF1533 (Olson); Duluth; Minnesota Investment Fund loan to paper mill provided.
Chair Mahoney moved that HF1533 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Jobs and Economic Development Finance omnibus bill.
Representative Olson introduced the bill.

Chair Mahoney renewed his motion that HF1533 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Jobs and Economic Development Finance omnibus bill.
HF2208 (Mahoney); Department of Employment and Economic Development, Labor and Industry, Human Services, and Commerce, Bureau of Mediation Services, Public Employment Relations Board, Housing Finance Agency, Workers' Compensation Court of Appeals, and Public Utilities Commission funding provided; policy and technical changes made; fees modified; criminal and civil penalties provided; reports required; and money appropriated.
Chair Mahoney moved that HF 2208 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Chair Mahoney moved to adopt the H2208A19 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Solveig Beckel, nonpartisan house fiscal analyst, and Anna Scholin and Ben Weeks, nonpartisan house research consultants, gave an overview of the H2208A19 amendment and corresponding spreadsheets.
