COMMITTEE MINUTES
Representative Lesch, Chair of the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Division, called the meeting to order at 10:01 AM on Thursday, February 20, 2020 in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

Representative Albright moved to approve the minutes from Feb 19, 2020. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF 2001 (Cantrell): Workforce certificates of compliance applying equally to in-state and out-of-state contractors ensured.
Representative Cantrell moved that HF 2001 be recommended to be re-referred to Ways & Means.
Chair Lesch moved to adopt the A4 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Cantrell renewed the motion that HF 2001 be recommended, as amended, to be re-referred to the Ways & Means committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF 1511 (Hassan): A bill for an act relating to housing; expanding eligibility for discretionary and mandatory expungements for eviction case court files; limiting public access to pending eviction case court actions.
Representative Hassan moved that HF 1511 be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILD.
HF 1521 (Scott): A bill for an act relating to family law; requiring the court to provide certain notices; modifying requirements for parent education program.
Representative Scott moved that HF 1521 be placed on the General Register. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF 1821 (Lucero): Student data privacy act created, and penalties provided.
Representative Lucero moved that HF 1821 to be recommended to be re-referred to the Education Policy committee.
Representative Lucero moved to adopt the A1 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Lucero moved to adopt the A20-0622 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Lucero presented HF 1821 to the committee.

HF 2232 (Lucero) A bill for an act relating to government data practices; requiring public postsecondary institutions to keep certain student information private.
Representative Lucero moved that HF 2232 be recommended to be re-referred to the Higher Education Policy Committee.
Representative Lucero moved to adopt the A20-0623 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Lucero moved to adopt the A20-0616 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Lucero presented HF 2232 to the committee.
