MINUTES

Representative Lillie, Chair of Legacy Finance Division, called the meeting to order at 12:49 P.M. on March 27, 2019, in Room 5 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Members present:

A quorum was present.

Representative Green moved to approve the minutes from March 22, 2019. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2682 (Lillie): Legacy dedicated website funding provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Lillie moved that HF2682 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means.

Chair Lillie introduced the bill.

Chair Lillie renewed his motion that HF2682 be re-referred to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 340 (Lillie): Outdoor heritage fund previous appropriations modified, and money appropriated.

Chair Lillie introduced the bill.

Testifying in support of the bill:
-Joe Pavelko, Assistant Director of Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council
-Neal Feeken, Grassland Conservation Program Director for Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota at The Nature Conservancy
-Tim Terrill, Executive Director of Mississippi Headwaters Board
-Kathy Varble, Grants Specialist for Conservation Partners Legacy Grant Program with Minnesota Department of Natural Resources
-Jon Schneider, Manager of Conservation Programs in Minnesota for Ducks Unlimited
-Melissa Sjolund, Habitat Coordinator for St. Louis River Restoration Initiative with Minnesota Department of Natural Resources
-Greg Hoch, Prairie Habitat Team Supervisor at Minnesota Department of Natural Resources
-John Lenczewski, Executive Director of Minnesota Trout Unlimited

Chair Lillie moved that HF340 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

Chair Lillie introduced the H0340A7 amendment.

Chair Lillie moved to adopt the H0340A7 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

-Bob Anderson, Chair of Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council
-Mark Johnson, Executive Director of Lessard-Sams Outdoor Heritage Council

Representative Green introduced the H340A5 amendment.

Representative Green moved to adopt the HF340A5 amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.

Chair Lillie renewed his motion that HF340 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The meeting was adjourned at 2:15 P.M.
