MINUTES
Representative Mariani, Chair of the Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance and Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 12:45 P.M. on January 29th, 2019, in room 120 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Considine moved that the minutes of the January 23nd and 24th, 2019 meeting be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF15 (Stephenson) repeals the voluntary relationship defense in sex offense cases, removing the “marital rape” exception.

Representative Long moved that HF15 be returned to the Ways and Means Committee with a recommendation that it be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Division. THE MOTION PREVAILS.
HF70 (Kunesh-Pudein) Task Force on Missing and Murdered Indigenous Women created, annual report on violence against indigenous women and girls required, and money appropriate.
