MINUTES
Representative Mariani, Chair of the Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance and Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 12:50 P.M. on January 30th, 2019, in room 120 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Dehn moved that the minutes of the January 29th, 2019 meeting be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF491 (Demuth) Relating to criminal justice; establishing penalties for school employees and independent contractors who have sexual relationships with students.
Representative Johnson moved that HF491, with amendment H0491A1, be returned to the Ways and Means Committee.
Representative Demuth presented HF491.

Representative Johnson renewed his motion to return HF491, as amended, to the Ways and Means Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
HF464 (O'Neill) Relating to public safety; establishing the domestic abuse transformation program account for funding domestic abuse transformation programs.
Representative O’Neill presented HF464.

Chair Mariani laid over HF464 for possible inclusion in the Public Safety omnibus bill.
HF74 (Kunesh-Pudein) A bill for an act relating to public safety; eliminating the exclusion from fifth degree criminal sexual conduct for non-consensual, intentional touching of another person's clothed buttock.
