MINUTES
Representative Mariani, Chair of the Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance and Policy Division, called the meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on March 28th, 2019, in room 120 of the State Capitol Building. A quorum was present.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Johnson moved to approve the minutes for the March 21st, 2019 meeting. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Representative Considine assumed the gavel at 1:02 P.M.
HF 1834 (Mariani) Minnesota POST Board; funds transferred to disaster assistance contingency account money, and money appropriated.
Chair Mariani moved to amend HF1834 with the A19-0268 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED AND THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Nate Gove. Executive Director for the Minnesota Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST).
Chair Mariani moved to re-refer HF1834, as amended, to the Committee on Ways and Means. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Vice-Chair Edelson assumed the gavel at 1:10 P.M
HF 2710 (Mariani) Offense surcharge distribution modified, Board of Peace Officer Standards and Training funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative Johnson moved to amend HF2710 with the DE1 amendment. THE MOTION DID NOT PREVAIL AND THE AMENDMENT WAS NOT ADOPTED.
Chair Edelson laid HF2710 over for possible inclusion in an omnibus bill.
Informational Hearing: HF 2709 (Mariani) Peace officer training reimbursement funding provided, and money appropriated.
