MINUTES
Representative Nelson, Chair of the State Government Finance Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:02 AM, March 29, 2019 in Hearing Room 10 of the State Office Building.
The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Olson moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on March 28th, 2019 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
The following gave an overview of the Governor’s Proposed Budget for the Office of Minnesota Information Technology (MN.IT) for Fiscal Year 2020 – 2021:

Chair Nelson moved HF5 be rereferred to the Committee on Ways and Means.
Representative Albright moved to amend the motion on HF5 with a recommendation that it be referred by Ways and Means to the Committee on Health and Human Services Finance.
HF5 (Halverson); Providing for paid family, pregnancy, bonding, and applicant’s serious medical condition benefits; regulating and requiring certain employment leaves; classifying certain data; authorizing rulemaking; appropriating money.

Chair Nelson moved HF5 be rereferred to the Committee on Ways and Means with a recommendation that it be referred to Health and Human Services Finance. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson moved HF1471 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.
HF1471 (Bierman); Authorizing the placement of a plaque in the court of honor on the Capitol grounds to honor all Minnesota veterans who served in the United States armed forces, both at home and abroad, during World War I.

Chair Nelson moved HF2249 be held over for possible inclusion in the Division Omnibus Bill.
HF2249 (Gomez); Repealing requirements for the regulation of salons and salon managers for licensed practitioners who only provide eyelash extensions.

Representative Huot moved Amendment H1740DE1-1. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
HF1740 (Huot); Establishing a Capitol flag program for families of military service members and first responders who die in the line of duty.
