MINUTES

Representative Richardson, Co-Chair of the Select Committee on Racial Justice, called the remote meeting to order at 1:02pm on Tuesday, September 22nd, 2020, pursuant to House rule 10.01.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Richardson called the meeting at 1:02pm. A quorum was present.

Dr. Camara Jones, M.D., M.P.H., Ph.D., testified and presented on the topic “What is Racism?” for the committee.

Rachel Hardeman, Ph.D., M.P.H., testified and presented on the topic “Maternal-child health mortality and morbidity Black Reproductive Health: Getting at the Root Cause of Inequity” for the committee.

Rep. Richardson opened the committee for Member discussion.

No official action was taken.

The meeting was adjourned at 3:04pm.
