HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES NINETY-SECOND SESSION
AGRICULTURE FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Mike Sundin, Chair of the Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, January 25, 2021, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Nelson moved to approve adoption of the minutes of the previous meeting. The motion prevailed. The minutes from the January 20, 2021 meeting were adopted.

Overview of Farmer-Lender Mediation Program

HF 80 (Lippert) Farmer-Lender Mediation Period Extended

The Chair noted his intention to lay the bill over for future consideration.

Rep. Lippert moved HF 80.

Rep. Lippert moved the A1 amendment and explained it. The motion was approved. The amendment was adopted.

• Bonnie Haugen, Dairy farmer, Canton, MN, Land Stewardship Project Member Leader
• David Krause, Pioneer Bank and Immediate Past Chair of the Minnesota Bankers Association

Mary Nell Preisler, responded to questions.

Rep. Anderson moved the A2 amendment and explained it. The motion did not prevail. The amendment was not adopted.

Chair Sundin laid over HF 80.
