HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES NINETY-SECOND SESSION
AGRICULTURE FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Mike Sundin, Chair of the Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 1, 2021, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll. A quorum was present.

Rep. Anderson moved to approve adoption of the minutes of the previous meeting. The motion prevailed. The minutes from the February 24, 2021 meeting were adopted.

HF 847 (Vang) Center for Rural Policy and Development grant funding provided

Rep. Vang moved that HF 847 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus Agriculture Finance bill.

HF 886 (Green) Nitrogen monitoring required on state lands

Chair Sundin moved that HF 886 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus Agriculture Finance bill.

Rep. Green presented HF 886.

Chair Sundin moved the A21 Amendment, and Rep. Green explained the amendment. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Chair Sundin renewed his motion that HF 886, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus Agriculture Finance bill. HF 886, as amended, was laid over.

HF 1631 (Lippert) Agriculture related business funding provided, reports required, and money appropriated

Rep. Vang moved that HF 1631 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus Agriculture Finance bill.

HF 1137 (Hansen, R.) Board of Animal Health modified

Rep. Hansen, R. moved that HF 1137 be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus Agriculture Finance bill.

Rep. Hansen, R. moved the A1 Amendment and explained it. The motion prevailed. The amendment was adopted.

Rep. Hansen, R. presented HF 1137, as amended, and responded to member questions.

Rep. Hansen, R. renewed his motion that HF 1137, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the omnibus Agriculture Finance bill. HF 1137 was laid over.
