HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES NINETY-SECOND SESSION
AGRICULTURE FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Mike Sundin, Chair of the Agriculture Finance and Policy Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, March 28, 2022, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll. A quorum was present.

Rep. Vang moved to approve adoption of the minutes of the previous meeting. The motion prevailed. The minutes from the March 23, 2022 meeting were adopted.

HF 3913 (Stephenson) Advanced biofuel, renewable chemical, and biomass thermal production incentive provisions modified, and money appropriated.

Chair Sundin moved that HF 3913 be laid for possible inclusion in the supplemental finance bill.

Rep. Stephenson explained the bill and responded to member questions.

Chair Sundin renewed his motion and HF 3913 was laid over for possible inclusion.

HF 3800 (Albright) Racehorse residency pilot program established, awards and grants required, and money appropriated.

Rep. Anderson moved that HF 3800 be laid for possible inclusion in the supplemental finance bill.

Rep. Albright explained the bill and responded to member questions.

Chair Sundin laid over HF 3800 for possible inclusion in the supplemental finance bill.

HF 766 (Hansen, R.) Additional seed label information required, certain seed uses prohibited, and product stewardship required for corn and soybean seed coated or treated with neonicotinoid pesticide.

Rep. Hansen, R. moved that HF 766 be referred to the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy.

Rep. Hansen, R. moved the H0766DE2 amendment. The motion prevailed. The DE2 amendment was adopted.
