Representative Jim Davnie, Chair of the Education Finance Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:30am on February 24, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting is being broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

Rep. Mueller moved that the minutes from February 23, 2021 be approved. Motion prevailed.

HF 378 (Youakim) This bill requires paraprofessionals who work with students with disabilities to be given paid time or time during the day to review students’ individualized education programs and annual paid orientation or professional development.

Rep. Youakim moved that HF 378 be presented before the committee; be laid over for further consideration at a later time.

HF 786 (Lee) This bill modifies the after-school community learning programs statute, including grant criteria, and appropriates funds for after-school community learning program grants.
