STATE GOVERNMENT FINANCE & ELECTIONS COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Michael V. Nelson, Chair of the Committee, called the virtual State Government Finance & Elections Committee meeting to order at 8:30 AM, January 19th, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services and Facebook Live.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative Klevorn moved that the minutes from the committee meeting on January 14, 2021 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Nelson put the Rules for State Government Finance & Elections before the Committee.

The following gave an overview of the Office of the Minnesota Attorney General:
The Honorable Keith Ellison, Attorney General
Ray Smith, Director of Finance, Office of the Minnesota Attorney General
Eric Miller, Assistant Attorney General, Office of the Minnesota Attorney General

The meeting recessed at 9:23 AM.

The meeting reconvened at 9:30 AM.

Chair Nelson referred bills to the Local Government Division by memo of January 18, 2021.
