PREVENTIVE HEALTH POLICY DIVISION MINUTES

Representative Mike Freiberg, Chair of the Preventative Health Policy Division, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:30 AM on February 23, 2022 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Bierman moved that the minutes of February 16, 2022, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The committee received informational testimony from the Presentation from Minnesota Department of Health on tobacco/nicotine cessation programs.

Representative Morrison moved House File 3153 be recommended to be re-referred to the Health Finance and Policy Committee.

HF3153 (Morrison): Tobacco and nicotine cessation treatment medical assistance coverage expanded.

Representative Kelly Morrison presented the bill.

Representative Freiberg moved HF18061A1 (Lippert). THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE
AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Todd Lippert presented the bill.
