PREVENTIVE HEALTH POLICY DIVISION MINUTES

Representative Mike Freiberg, Chair of the Preventative Health Policy Division, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:30 AM on March 9, 2022 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Pryor moved that the minutes of March 2, 2022, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

The committee received informational testimony from the Minnesota Department of Health on the latest Coronavirus guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Representative Freiberg moved House File 3862 be recommended to be re-referred to the Health Finance and Policy Committee.

HF 3862 (Boldon): Antigen test and KN95 respirator and similar respirator distribution program established, and money appropriated.

Representative Liz Boldon presented the bill.

HF 1419 (Hassan): Skin lightening creams containing mercury public awareness campaign created, and money appropriated.

Representative Hodan Hassan presented the bill.
