HUMAN SERVICES FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE

MINUTES

Representative Jennifer Schultz, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:30 am on February 17th, 2021 remotely via Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.


The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Rep. Fischer moved that the minutes from February 16th, 2021 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF60 (Koegel) Parental notice of and participation required in maltreatment determination reconsideration and human services licensing sanction appeal hearings.

Chair Schultz moved that HF60 be laid over for possible inclusion in an omnibus.

Chair Schultz moved the DE-1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

HF162 (Fischer) Homeless youth birth record and ID card issuance procedures established, data classified, and money appropriated
Chair. Schultz moved to adopt the division report from the Behavioral Health Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Rep. Fischer moved that HF162 be referred to the Transportation finance and policy committee as recommended.
Rep. Fischer renewed his motion that HF162 be referred to the Transportation Finance and Policy Committee as recommended.
Chair Schultz stated a roll call vote would be taken. The results were as follows:

HF294 (Noor) Commissioner of Human Services required to update 2007 legislative report on runaway and homeless youth.
Chair Schultz moved to adopt the division report on HF294. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Testifier:
• Joe Nathan, Director, Centers for School Change
Chair Schultz laid HF294 over for possible inclusion in an omnibus.
