MINUTES

Representative Jennifer Schultz, Chair of the Committee, called the meeting to order at 10:30 am on March 10, 2022, remotely via Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Vice Chair Bahner moved that the minutes from March 9, 2022, be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF3090 (Gomez) Emergency shelter facility grant funding provided, and money appropriated.
Chair Schultz moved to adopt the division report from the Preventing Homelessness Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Chair Schultz moved the A1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

• Rhonda Otteson, Executive Director, MN Coalition for the Homeless
• Katherine Meerse, Executive Director, Avenues for Youth
Chair Schultz laid HF3090, as amended, over for possible inclusion in the Human Services Finance and Policy Omnibus bill.
HF3294 (Reyer) Emergency service grant funding provided, and money appropriated.
Chair Schultz moved to adopt the division report from the Preventing Homelessness Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Schultz laid HF3294 over for possible inclusion in the Human Services Finance and Policy Omnibus bill.
HF3599 (Keeler) Trauma-informed service priority added, sexual exploitation and trafficking study created and funding provided, sexually exploited youth funding provided, and money appropriated.
Chair Schultz moved to adopt the division report from the Preventing Homelessness Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Chair Schultz moved the A1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Rep. Liebling moved to rerefer HF3599, as amended, to the Health Policy and Finance Committee. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Chair Schultz moved the A2 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Chair Schultz moved to adopt the division report from the Preventing Homelessness Division. THE MOTION PREVAILED.
Chair Schultz moved the A1 Amendment. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
