COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Connie Bernardy, Chair of the Higher Education Finance and Policy Division, called the virtual committee meeting to order at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 9, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

The committee took a moment of silence in respect of all those affected by the day’s shooting at Allina Health clinic in Buffalo, MN.

Representative Albright moved to approve the minutes from February 3, 2021. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Dr. Bruce Corrie (Concordia University Saint Paul) presented on racial economic disparities in higher education and the workforce.

The Minnesota Education Equity Partnership (MnEEP) presented their 2021 Higher Education recommendations.
