Representative Jamie Becker-Finn, Chair of the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law, called the virtual meeting to order at 8:30 AM on February 16, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

Representative Hollins moved that the H0864DE1 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Hollins presented HF 864 as amended, a bill for an act relating to data practices; classifying law enforcement mental health unit data as private data on individuals; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 13.82, by adding a subdivision.

Representative T. Xiong moved that the H0916A2 amendment be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative T. Xiong presented HF 916 as amended, a bill for an act relating to corrections; modifying data privacy provisions for data maintained by ombudsperson for corrections; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 13.856, subdivisions 1, 4; repealing Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 13.856, subdivision 3.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that the H0696A1 amendment be adopted. MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
Representative Becker-Finn presented HF 696 as amended, a bill for an act relating to natural resources; classifying data on individuals who are minors; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 13.7931, by adding a subdivision; proposing coding for new law in Minnesota Statutes, chapter 84.
Chair Becker-Finn renewed the motion that HF 696 as amended be recommended to be re-referred to the Environment and Natural Resources Finance and Policy Committee.
Chair Becker-Finn requested a roll call on HF 696 as amended.
