JUDICIARY FINANCE AND CIVIL LAW MINUTES

Representative Jamie Becker-Finn, Chair of the Committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law, called the virtual meeting to order at 8:30 AM on March 1, 2022 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Robbins moved that the minutes of February 24, 2022 be adopted. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Chair Becker-Finn moved that HF 3249 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.

Chair Becker-Finn presented HF 3249, a bill for an act relating to state government; modifying various provisions governing or administered by the secretary of state; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, sections 5B.02; 5B.05; 5B.10, subdivision 1; 13.045, subdivisions 1, 2, 3, 4a.

Representative Hanson presented HF 3269, a bill for an act relating to human services; expanding the type of data disseminated to local and state welfare agencies for monitoring eligibility of data subject for public assistance programs; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, section 268.19, subdivision 1.

Chair Becker-Finn renewed the motion that HF 3269 be re-referred to the Workforce and Business Development Finance and Policy Committee.

Representative Scott renewed the motion that HF 3454 be recommended to be placed on the General Register.
