MINUTES


Representative Lillie, Chair of the Legacy Finance Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. on February 24th, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative JORDAN moved to approve the minutes from February 17, 2021. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF1045 (Mariani); Science Museum of Minnesota funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative LILLIE moved that HF1045 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Lillie introduced HF1045 on behalf of the author.

Testifying on the bill:
- Alison Brown: President and CEO, Science Museum of Minnesota
- Jon Severson: Director of Government Relations, Science Museum of Minnesota

Representative LILLIE renewed his motion that HF1045 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

HF481 (Stephenson); Champlin; funding provided to acquire land for trail system along Elm Creek Greenway Corridor, and money appropriated.

Representative LILLIE moved that HF481 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Stephenson introduced HF481.

Testifying on the bill:

- Charles L. Lehn: Parks and Facilities Manager, City of Champlin

Representative LILLIE renewed his motion that HF841 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

HF1331 (Keeler); River watch program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative LILLIE moved that HF1331 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Keeler introduced HF1331.

Representative Boe introduced an amendment to HF1331, amendment A1.

Representative BOE moved to adopt the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative LILLIE renewed his motion that HF1331, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

Informational Hearing on HFXXXX (Murphy); Public Libraries funding provided.

Representative Murphy introduced HFXXXX.
