MINUTES


Representative Lillie, Chair of the Legacy Finance Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 8:30 A.M. on March 3, 2021 pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was conducted over Zoom and broadcast via House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

A quorum was present.

Representative JORDAN moved to approve the minutes from February 24, 2021. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Informational hearing on HFXXX (Hollins); Como Park Zoo and Conservatory funding provided.

Representative Hollins introduced HFXXX.

Presenting on the bill:
- Michelle Furrer: Director, Como Park Zoo and Conservatory

HF1166 (Wazlawik); Water safety grant funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative WAZLAWIK moved that HF1166 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Wazlawik introduced HF1166.

Testifying on the bill:
- Shannon Kinsler: Senior Association Aquatic Director, Minnesota Alliance of YMCAs

Representative WAZLAWIK renewed her motion that HF1166 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

HF328 (Urdahl); Litchfield Opera House funding provided, and money appropriated.

Representative URDAHL moved that HF328 be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.

Representative Urdahl introduced an amendment to HF328, amendment A1.

Representative URDAHL moved to adopt the A1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDEMNT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Urdahl introduced HF328, as amended.

Testifying on the bill:
- Karen Urdahl: Volunteer Secretary, Greater Litchfield Opera House Association

Representative URDAHL renewed his motion that HF328, as amended, be laid over for possible inclusion in the Legacy Finance omnibus bill.
