PUBLIC SAFETY AND CRIMINAL JUSTICE REFORM FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Mariani, Chair of the Committee on Public Safety and Criminal Justice Reform Finance and Policy, called the virtual meeting to order at 10:30 AM on March 11th, 2022, pursuant to House Rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Pinto moved that the minutes of March 10th, 2022, be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

Representative Pinto introduced HF 4174, a bill for an act
relating to public safety; limiting liability for felony murder committed by another
person; extending the task force on aiding and abetting felony murder; providing
for a report; amending Minnesota Statutes 2020, sections 609.05, subdivisions 1,
2; 609.185; 609.19, subdivision 2.

Representative Pinto moved to refer HF 4174 to the committee on Judiciary Finance and Civil Law.

Representative Pinto moved to amend HF 4174 DE1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
