MINUTES


Representative Frank Hornstein, Chair of the Transportation Finance and Policy Committee, called the virtual meeting to order at 1:00pm on April 6, 2021, pursuant to House rule 10.01. The meeting was broadcast via Zoom and House Public Information Services.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Rep. Petersburg moved to adopt the minutes from the March 26 meeting. THE MOTION PREVAILED.


HF 2142 (Petersburg) Highway funding provided, tax revenue distribution from motor vehicle repair and replacement parts adjusted, bonds issued, and money appropriated.

Rep. Petersburg gave an overview of HF 2142.

Vice Chair Koegel assumed the gavel at 1:18pm.


HF 1684 (Hornstein) Transportation department technical changes made to remove obsolete language dates.

Rep. Hornstein gave an overview of the H1684DE2 amendment.

HF1684 (Hornstein) Omnibus Transportation Finance and Policy Bill

-The delete everything (DE) amendment for HF1684, the Omnibus Transportation Finance and Policy Bill is attached and labeled HF1684DE2.

-Walkthrough of the DE amendment and member discussion will take place on Tuesday, April 6th, from 1:00 – 2:30PM. The committee will recess at 2:30PM and reconvene from 5:00 – 6:30PM to continue discussion.

-Time permitting, public testimony may begin in the reconvened segment of the April 6th hearing (5:00 - 6:30) after walkthrough and member discussion.

-Amendments are due on Wednesday, April 7th by 1:00PM.

-Public testimony will be taken on Wednesday, April 7th from 1:00 – 2:30PM. Formal committee action on amendments will be taken after public testimony is completed.

-The committee will meet on Thursday, April 8th from 1:00 – 5:30PM to complete markup and passage.
