CLIMATE AND ENERGY FINANCE AND POLICY MINUTES

Representative Patty Acomb, Chair of the Committee on Climate and Energy Finance and Policy, called the meeting to order at 3:02 PM on March 22, 2023 in Room 200 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Kraft moved that the minutes from March 21, 2023 be approved. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF 2502 (Hanson); Public utility allowed to file program with public utilities commission to promote deployment of electric school buses.

Chair Acomb moved that HF 2502 be laid over.

Chair Acomb moved the DE1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED; THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Hanson presented HF 2502 as amended.

Representative Rehm moved that HF 2747 be laid over.

Representative Rehm moved the DE2 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED; THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Rehm presented HF 2747 as amended.

HF 1853 (Acomb); University of Minnesota Extension Service weather resilience program funding provided, and money appropriated.

Chair Acomb moved that HF 1853 be laid over.

Chair Acomb presented HF 1853.

HF 2170 (Berg); Establishment of global warming impact standards required for construction materials used in state buildings and roads, global warming standards integrated into procurement process, pilot programs established to report greenhouse gas emissions from manufacture of products, grant program established, technical advisory committee established, and reports required.

Chair Acomb moved that HF 2170 be laid over.

Chair Acomb moved the DE1 Amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED; THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Berg presented HF 2170 as amended.
