COMMERCE FINANCE AND POLICY COMMITTEE MINUTES

Representative Zack Stephenson, Chair of the Commerce Finance and Policy Committee, called the meeting to order at 1:00 P.M. on February 21, 2024, in Room 10 of the State Office Building.

The Committee Legislative Assistant noted the roll.

Representative Koegel moved to approve the minutes from February 19, 2024. THE MOTION PREVAILED.

HF2309 (Elkins); Rights given to consumers regarding personal data, obligations placed on businesses regarding consumer data, and enforcement by attorney general provided.

Chair Stephenson moved that HF2309 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Chair Stephenson moved the DE1 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.

Representative Elkins presented HF2309, as amended.

Chair Stephenson moved that HF3868 be re-referred to the Judiciary Finance and Civil Law Committee.

Chair Stephenson moved the A5 amendment. THE MOTION PREVAILED. THE AMENDMENT WAS ADOPTED.
